TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the part that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
